The riverside walk to The Thrum has long been a favourite with local residents and visitors to Rothbury alike. It's particularly lovely in autumn, when the beech trees turn to copper reds, orange and shades of ochre. The colours reflected in the dark water of the River Coquet give twice the drama.
I paint this visual treat every year, as it's a sight I never tire of.
This painting was created using Artist's acrylic paints on a canvasboard.
The painted image is 30 by 40 cm. It is ready to hang and framed in a bespoke "double" frame, making the the outer dimensions of the framed work 45 by 55.5 cm.
