Beadnell Bay Incoming Tide - Original Painting

Beadnell on the Northumbrian coast was once a small fishing and lime producing village on the Northumberland coast.

Today these smoky, smelly traditional occupations are long gone. And it is been transformed into a popular holiday spot.

The beautiful sheltered sandy bay is perfect for kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing and scuba diving.

The National Trust Rangers and volunteers supervise the Long Nanny shorebird nesting site, each year to ensure that holidaymakers don't disturb the breeding terns and plovers. During this period, a section of beach is closed to walkers and the path is diverted over the dunes. This was the viewpoint for this view, looking straight out into to North Sea on a gorgeous summer's day.

This painting would made a great group with my other paintings of the same subject, "Beadnell Bay Waves " and "Beadnell Bay Ripples".

This painting was created using Artist's acrylic paints on a canvasboard.

The painted image is 30 by 40 cm. It  is ready to hang and framed in a bespoke "double" frame, making the the outer dimensions of the framed work 45 by 55.5 cm.
