Alnwick From The Poppy Fields  Print 0033

Enjoy a quintessential summer's day all year round with this vibrant print.

A field of poppies is a favourite sight. Scarlet is an unusual colour for our native flowers, so perhaps that’s why seeing a great splash of them across the landscape is always such a treat. Close up they appear to be delicate, fragile flowers, with their tissue paper thin petals and slender wiry stems, but collectively they dominate and subvert the orderly fields of corn and oil seed rape where they appear.

This field of poppies, with its lacy edging of cow parsley, was near Harlow Hill Farm, between Denwick and Longhoughton in Northumberland. In the distance, on the left one can see the distant town of Alnwick, while on the right the blue Cheviot Hills blend into the cloudy sky.

Printed with a white border, on a heavy duty matt archival quality paper, using pigment based professional colours. Signed by the Artist. Shipped rolled in a postal tube, without mount, ready to frame.
