A small signed painting of Rothbury Bridge and Bridge Street on a snowy morning. Since its restoration, which required the removal of an unsympathetic 1960s railed parapet, the bridge is beautiful once more. Archaeologists involved in surveying the structure during the work, found the original bridge to date to the late 1400s, with additions made to widen it over the following centuries.
The figures are very loosely based on family members and the dog my much loved childhood pet.
It was painted specifically to be one of my six different Christmas card designs for this year.
It was created using Artist's acrylic paints on a textured heavy weight paper.
It is ready to hang, with an ivory coloured mount and framed in a bespoke solid oak frame which is 26 cm square. The painted image is 12 cm square.
Small enough to hang anywhere- an awkward space or on a staircase, but with enough quiet presence to always look great- singly or as part of a group. Hang them in blocks, vertical rows ot horizonal lines.
