The original painting, on which this design is based, was created by me when the tree at Sycamore Gap was still standing proud in all its glory. It's a scene I'd painted so many times, but in this case with a background of the Northern Lights, glowing in the background.
The tree has since been cruelly felled, but hopefully will be allowed to regenerate and flourish once more. Meanwhile we can remember it as it stood for so many generations past and celebrate its beauty.
