My original painting of snow in the hills of Northumberland. This viewpoint is from Corby Crags, from the pathway that runs high above the road between Rothbury and Alnwick. The bitterly cold wind, kept the snow crisp and grainy, like crunchy, crystallised sugar on the path and frozen vegetation.
This was created using acrylic paints on a canvasboard. The image has been protected with two layers of UVA protective acrylic varnish, which guards against both mechanical and light damage.
The painted image is 30 by 40 cm. It is ready to hang and framed in a bespoke "double" frame, making the the outer dimensions of the framed work 45 by 55.5 cm.
