Daffodils are the bright, irrepressible forerunners of Spring.
Pushing through the twiggy undergrowth, daffodils bring the first splash of colour to the woods. Their cheerful yellow trumpets always seem to be an optimistic reminder that winter is finally over. For me they bring back memories of muddy childhood walks, invariably followed by a tea table laden with home baked cakes and biscuits.
This painting was created using Artist's acrylic paints on a canvasboard.
The painted image is 30 by 40 cm. It is ready to hang and framed in a bespoke "double" frame, making the the outer dimensions of the framed work 45 by 55.5 cm.
