This dramatic winter scene uses a limited palette of crisp, fresh cool colours. Perfect to introduce a calm, natural note into the home.
On a very cold, snowy January day in Rothbury, I took a brisk walk along the Riverside Path towards Thropton. As I approached the Lady Bridge- which appears in the painting as a shallow arc on the left hand side- the sun suddenly emerged from behind the grey clouds and the landscape was instantly transformed. The snow became dazzling white in the bright sunlight and blue shadows were cast across the path. Snowscenes are one of my favourite subjects to paint.
Like all of my standard prints, this is printed with a white border, on a heavy duty matt archival quality paper, using pigment based professional colours, to produce a fine quality print that will give decades of pleasure. Title and artist's signature on the lower edge of the border. Shipped rolled, without mount, ready to frame.
