Cheviot From Corby Crags, With White Heather  Print 0090

This quintessentially northern summer scene, will bring a breath of fresh air to any room.

In Northumberland, the B6341 road meanders its scenic way from Rothbury to Alnwick.  Near the tiny village of Edlingham it climbs ever higher, until suddenly the landscape opens up on the left to reveal a vista of low rolling hills and a patchwork fields over to the distant Cheviots. The Cheviot is the highest point in the Northumberland National Park.

It’s a subject I’ve painted many times, as the view changes by the moment as the shadows of clouds sweep across the landscape, changing the colours and making the hills appear to recede then advance in turn.

But this is the first time I've noticed white heather flowering. It must have been my lucky day!

Printed with a white border, on a heavy duty matt, archival quality paper, using pigment based professional colours. Handwritten title and Artist's signature.   Shipped rolled, without mount, ready to frame.
