Late summer sunsets on Bamburgh Beach are often spectacular. Most people have left the beach by this time and the sands can be totally deserted. The daytime visitors miss the ever changing colours of the sky, rich and dramatic reflected on the wet beach. The dark smudge of the coastline seems to stretch to infinity and Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island looks like a mythic land.
It is breathtakingly beautiful and inspiring.
