For several years, the Bamburgh Estate has planted fields of red campion and phacelia as a habitat for pollinating insects and other wildlife. During May the flowers were spectacular hot pinks and dusty mauves, forming a breathtakingly vibrant foreground to views of Bamburgh Castle and the sea.
