Once a small fishing and lime producing village on the Northumberland coast, Beadnell is now a favourite holiday spot. Its large variety of holiday accommodation and facilities, make it one of the most popular destinations for visitors to the coast.
The long sheltered sandy bay is perfect for kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing and scuba diving.
Every year The National Trust Rangers and volunteers supervise the Long Nanny shorebird nesting site, to ensure that holidaymakers don't inadvertently disturb the rare breeding terns and plovers. During this period, a section of beach is closed to walkers and the path is diverted over the dunes. This was the viewpoint for this print, looking directly out to sea.
