My original painting of graceful birch trees, set against a background of glowing autumnal colours. Several days of torrential rain, turned the hillside bracken to a rich dark burgundy colour. Then when the sun finally returned, these sombre colours transformed into bright flame oranges.
This is one of my own personal favourites.
This atmospheric work was created using acrylic paints on a canvasboard. The image has been protected with two layers of UVA protective acrylic varnish, which guards against both mechanical and light damage.
The painted image is 30 by 40 cm. It is ready to hang and framed in a bespoke "double" frame, making the the outer dimensions of the framed work 45 by 55.5 cm.
