Bamburgh Castle With Hay Bales - Original Painting

The classic approach to Bamburgh is along the coastal road, with its border of sand dunes and tantalising glimpses of the Farne Islands. But inland there are several smaller, less travelled routes to this picturesque coastal town, from which you can see Bamburgh Castle across a patchwork of fields. Some years these fields are filled with bright oil seed rape flowers, sometimes hay, sometimes broadbeans.  The distant castle sits high on its rocky pedestal, dominating land and sea.

Personally I love seeing hay bales scattered through the fields, like gigantic swiss rolls.

This small original painting will look great in the most contemporary or traditional home.

It was painted onto textured heavy weight paper, using Artist's professional acrylic paints and Artist's Medium, giving a shiny finish on the water.

It is ready to hang, and framed in a bespoke solid oak frame which is 26 cm square. The painted area is 12 cm square.

This series of small paintings are small enough to hang anywhere- an awkward space or on a staircase,  but with enough presence to always look great- singly or as a group. Hang them in blocks, vertical rows or horizonal lines.
