Craster Harbour
Craster is a picturesque traditional fishing village on the Northumbrian coast. It has long been famed as the starting point to the coastal walk to The National Trust's Dunstanburgh Castle. But it is also known for the delicious kippers, still prepared and smoked in smoke houses using traditional methods handed down through the Robson family.
Today it is also a popular visitor destination, with many of the fishermen's cottages now holiday accomodation and a fine selection of places to eat. and drink.
